Butterfly Overskirt
So named because the points of the skirt flutter like butterfly wings. For this basic version:- Cut a square of fabric from 45" or larger material.
- Mark the center of the fabric square by folding the fabric into quarters and putting a safety pin at the center point.
- Make a pattern for the waist opening by following the directions on the circle-skirt page.

Ruffle Overskirt
This is essentially a short skirt gathered into a crectangular yoke 1-4 inches deep.Add a waistband and elastic following directions on the Making Yokes page.
Trapezoid Overskirt
- This can be cut quickly from a rectangle, as you see in the first illustration.

- Add ties to complete.
