  • CHOREOGRAPHY: Was there a choreopgraphy, or was it improvised? Was there a literal meaning, or was the dance conceptual (about a mood, emotion, kinesthetic or qualitative feeling)? Was it successfully matched to the music? Did it get its point across, and if so, to what degree? Were you able to lose yourself in the work?
  • TECHNIQUE: Did the performers have sufficient technique for the intentions of the dance? Were the movments effortless, or were you always aware that the dancers were trying to dance?
  • STAGE PRESENCE: Were the performers able to adopt suitable stage personnas? Did one or two have more "IT" quality than others? If so, were they also the strongest performers, technically? Did their magnetism on stage add to or detract from the performance flow?
  • LIGHTING: How did it affect the way you viewed the work? Did it enhance or detract from the dance?
  • COSTUMES: Did the costumes set a time period, a mood, a place or establish characters? Did you feel they were appropriate to the dance? Did they enhance the dance?
  • SETS, SCENERY, PROPS: If present, were they successful? If absent, were they missed?
  • MUSIC - What type of music or sound was used? Did it enhance the mood or theme of the dance?
